Why? Its engine was the basis of 1/2 of the original Aston Martin V12.

Is the Duratec V6 we all know and love (Yes you do) the same as the one you get in the V6 Mustang?

It’s all right. Here are some universally hated cars that I like:
Porsche Panamera
BMW X6
Basically all Acuras
Fiat Multipla

Ah, so not the 3.0 then. I guess if that was the case I would hear of more 700HP Twin Turbo V6 Mustangs or heck even V12 Mustangs.

Yup!!!! It has major street cred! That Taurus is basically a Lagonda or Rapide :p
I also like the recent 2GR V6 Camry because it’s the same engine as the Evora! That’s also the reason Toyota doesn’t offer the V6 manual on their own cars and why the killed off the Solara, to not steal sales from the Evora. (In related news, Toyota also didn’t offer the 2ZZ on the Mr2 to avoid cannibalizing the Elise, even though that Elise was also available with the 1ZZ in Europe)
The 5-cylinder Jetta is half the Gallardo/R8 V10.

A conglomeration of Ford, Mazda, and Porsche engineering. The Duratec V6 and Mazda KL engines are marvels.
